@fgw on 1918 Oxford service from Paddington, and the heating is on! I kid you not, and I think my leg may be literally roasted by Cholsey!
— Doug the Prop (@DougProp) July 18, 2013
@FGW On the 19:15 London to Cardiff, it left late and now there's no air con, the heat is ridiculous and staring to become unhealthy

— Oz Burns (@_OzBurns) July 19, 2013
Looking forward to hearing the excuses as to why either heating is ON or the AIRCON is off on @FGW trains seriously can you fail any harder?
— Simon Eady (@simoneady) July 18, 2013
In a non-air conditioned, delayed, over crowded train but at least I have a seat cant say the same for the majority thou. What a joke @FGW
— Charlotte Anderson (@Canderson_Emily) July 19, 2013
@FGW Ollie you should join this train. Packed to the rafters and no air con on 1847 Cheltenham. £6k a year to be packed like cattle! Oh joy!
— Royal Squiffy (@RoyalSquiffy) July 19, 2013
Why is the heating on, on the 18.25 from Paddington to Slough, @fgw ?
— Caroline Donnelly (@CarrotyD) July 19, 2013
@fgw heat on this train is unbearable for a long journey!
— carole england (@CaroleEngland) July 19, 2013
@FGW what im mosst annoyed about is having to pay £12 for 8 btls of water. On a train with no air con. Im travelling with 7 kids!
— David Brett (@dingwalldemon) July 19, 2013
@FGW 27degrees & only 1 carriage out of 3 has air con 5th time my Bath>Cardiff train has been late this wk. I pay £23.70 for this RUBBISH!
— A Designer (@Adriana00) July 19, 2013
@rossiter666 Apologies for crowding. There is aircon I'm sorry if you're not able to experience the full effect of it due to crowding -Ollie
— First Great Western (@FGW) July 19, 2013
Too may passengers break the air conditioning. OK, and there are too many passengers why? Frequently broken down trains, delays, and overcrowding? The holy trilogy of First Great Western Problems becomes an unholy square.
@FGW 3rd journey in less than a week on a train with no working air con. Why? Summer happens every year. Programme maintenance in April/May.

The signs that First Great Western have claiming all their carriages are air conditioned are taunting to say the least #melting

@JoRammers We do use the windows where possible – but opening them isn't as straightforward an issue as would initially be thought. Eli.
— First Great Western (@FGW) July 19, 2013
And prefer to be DAZZLED BY SCIENCE.
@FGW I really hope so, because it is more of a con issue than an air con issue! Are you at least thinking about using windows? Simple idea.
— Jo Ramadan (@JoRammers) July 19, 2013
One for Professor Brian Cox there. The crazy science of opening windows. Does anyone know the required qualifications?
Hi @fgw we are melting on board the Penzance train! You couldn't transport cattle in these temperatures.
— Lucy Series (@TheSmallPlaces) July 19, 2013
@FGW I didn't think it would be overnight! The aircon hasn't worked on this line since I first used it in 1994. That doesn't make it better!

— David Mark Graham (@DavidMarkGraham) July 19, 2013
8 mins late AND 5 car air conditioned train replaced by 2 car sauna. Thanks, @fgw

@FGW I'm on the sweat box again !!!! Aaarrrghhh I am sure this must be illegal.. Animals cannot be transported under these conditions ?
— Pippa Whybourne (@pippawhybourne) July 18, 2013
@fgw is there any reason why the a/c on your hst's only works in the mornings? It's must be 35deg on here
— LastLateWorsten (@SimonHogfress) July 18, 2013
@FGW why don't you fix the air conditioning instead – is it legal for u to run lethally over heated services
— portinoxdog (@portinoxdog) July 18, 2013
Just got on one of First Great Western's mobile saunas to London. Don't know why the train companies haven't thought of this before.
— Cllr Graeme Clark (@ShenfieldGraeme) July 18, 2013
@FGW @BowdenMFF Once again…. A train with no air con & in this heat. Are you serious? It's a disgrace! We should not be paying for this!
— Luana Elisabetta (@LuanaElisabetta) July 27, 2013
@FGW 'this train is airconditioned' so you lock the windows. AIR CONDITIONING BROKEN. Sort it out.
