Air Conditioning – 2013

Early in 2013, we came across some complaints by Twitter user @ihatefcc around air conditioning and overheated carriages. You can check out the site over at I Hate First Capital Connect. In the interests of disclaimers, we’re in no way connected with @ihatefcc, but we then started looking at complaints to see if FGW customers were having similar issues. Prepare your best surprised face, grab a large bottle of water, strip down, and prepare for some interesting stories. Too many passengers, numerous faults "reported", windows that cannot be opened. As ever, we let you, the viewer decide if there’s a problem, or if First Great Western is causing problems.

This time it’s air conditioning, or lack of air conditioning, and the removed window handles preventing customers from cooling down.

Still, here come the excuses. Windows break air conditioning! Too many passengers! Too few passengers! "We’ll log that!" It must be another case of passengers imagining a problem.

Ah but Peter, come winter, First Great Western will begin pumping the trains full of the world’s coldest air! Perhaps they’re 6 months behind on calender repayments?
