Another year passes, and perhaps, just perhaps, First Great Western will finally resolve their air conditioning, heating, and cooling issues!
If you’re new to The Great Air Con, there’s a summary of the First Great Western Great Air Con with more information than you could possibly wish for, or go back to 2013 for even more temperature complaints! In summary, those trains with air conditioning pretty much don’t. Those trains without air conditioning, well that’s just tough! There’s no marketing campaign value in giving passengers a reasonably comfortable journey!
Let’s take a look at 2015!
@FGW is it possible to turn down the aircon in coach C for the train that is currently stopped at Taunton please

@FGW the 08:13 from Didcot Parkway to Penzance is freezing! Is there something wrong with the heating or is it just not switched on?

Once again I paid an extortionate amount to freeze to death on the train. Thanks @FGW

@FGW carriage A, near the doors. There was definitely at least one broken window that wouldn't stay up. The whole carriage was frozen!

@fgw can we get the aircon turned on in the 7:34 Didcot to Paddington? Its boiling and I didn't pack my shorts and sandals! ☀️
— Edward Johnson (@EdzJohnson) January 12, 2015
@FGW – Again the 7:34 (Did-Pad) is boiling. No sign of the guard. Any chance you could make contact and request they cool it down?
